I Am Back!!

Hey yal,

I've been M.I.A. for real.  It's been months but I am back with some updates.

I've been to Chicago yet again!! My little family, my best friend (maid of honor) and my grandmother all traveled to Chicago for more..... WEDDING PLANNING!!  We accomplished so much I do not even know where to begin.  Let me just start from the beginning.

We arrived and on Wednesday I met my wonderful wedding planner for the very first time.  I love her and now that I've met her I can breathe a little and most importantly granny approves!!  We all met at one of the options for the reception venue.  We viewed the space and let me tell you it is the one.  The venue has everything I am looking for especially a wonderful view.  Here is just one pic of the magnificent view. I do not want to give too much away.

That view is amazing, right!  After the visit, we decided to sit and chat at this cute little restaurant in which my planner presented me with one of my favorite things in the world, a cupcake from Sugar Bliss Cake Boutique.  I have never been there before but I will be going on my next visit.

After eating I was pooped, but I had tickets to go to the Chicago Bridal Expo.  I was not going to attend but at the very last minute I forced myself and my family to go.  So, we headed about an hour away (during rush hour) to the suburbs for the Chicago Bridal Expo.  I am so glad I decided to go.  I received so many deals and discounts and collected so many ideas for my wedding.  I even won a couple of gifts.  The bridal expo ended with a runway show.  The dresses were gorgeous but I already have the dress of my dreams YAY!!!

Thursday my best friend and I went to a white sox baseball game but you guys want to read about wedding planning so I will just move on...

On Friday, we tried on bridesmaids dresses at Bella Bridesmaids.  What a cute little boutique.  I found the bridesmaid dress I want it's just the little details I now have to worry about.

After the dress fitting, we had a cake tasting at Toni Patisserie.  MMMMMMMMM.... now I'm not a real big fan of sweets except when it comes to cupcakes and I really am more towards baking them not consuming them.... but the cake tasting was my favorite part of this trip.  After talking details and tasting cakes, my fiance' and I decided on a cake and its design.  We are getting so much done!!!

Saturday was a day filled with pre-marital counseling for my fiance' and I.  This was done at my childhood church where I will be having my wedding.  The class was dynamic and we learned so much.  I am thankful for this oppertunity and I am thankful that both my fiance' and I wanted to pursue pre-marital counseling,  I suggest anyone who is in a relationship towards marriage take a class.

Sunday was a church day and a rest day.

Monday we all met to see the second venue option.  This option was very elegant and wonderful but it did not have the view I was looking for but I will weigh the pros and cons before I give the definite NO.

I told you we did a lot!  Chicago was fun but I am glad to be back home on my regular schedule.  Stay tuned for my checklist of what has been done and what I will be working on during the next couple of weeks.  I am so happy to be back and thanks for reading.

Like always, please let me know if you have any questions comments or concerns.  I'll answer the best I can without giving away too much.  Don't you guys want to be surprised?

Love Christa.
